MOLE REMOVAL

Short Summary

If a mole or lesion at Dr Sultan’s clinic is benign, removal options include:

  • Minor surgical excision: local anaesthetic, scalpel removal, sutured closure.

  • Cryotherapy (CryoPen): precision freezing for superficial lesions (skin tags, warts); quick, minimally invasive, short healing.

  • Shave or curettage: raised superficial lesions removed flush with skin under local anaesthetic; efficient but may leave a small scar.

  • Laser mole removal: CO2 laser removes raised and flat lesions and controls bleeding in one step.

At consultation Dr Sultan will assess the lesion, advise the best method, discuss risks and benefits, and review aftercare and follow-up, including whether histology is recommended.

    On arrival

Dr Sultan will undertake an initial consultation to understand any of your concerns and to review your medical history, after which the treatment area will be photographed. He will advise you of your facial dynamics and the results that Botox® would likely achieve.

Once a treatment plan is agreed, he will administer the Botox®, after which there will be a number of small red bumps at the injection sites. These bumps usually settle down within hours and within 24 hours, should not be visible.

    Results

The effects of the treatment commence within 3-5 days and it is normal for it to take between 10-12 days for the full effect of the treatment to become visible.

We will arrange for a follow up video consultation 12-14 days following the treatment and, if required, we may suggest a complimentary top-up at this point.

Within 3-4 months of the treatment, we would expect the effects to be wearing off and recommend booking a return visit.

    • Patients who are breastfeeding

    • Patients who have had Botox® in the past and experienced an allergic or hypersensitive reaction
